Smiling female therapist and counselor with wavy brown hair in autumn, representing personal growth and seasonal reflection in therapy

Jessica McDaniel, LPC-S

Healing begins in the moments people feel safe enough to tell the truth about their pain. Counseling can be that helpful support to move beyond betrayal, trauma, and grief to embrace healing, restoration and discover deeper connection!

Meet Jessica

I believe therapy should be a place where people feel deeply seen without shame—a space that feels safe enough for honesty, thoughtful enough for deeper exploration, and grounded enough to support lasting healing.

I work with women and couples navigating betrayal trauma, infidelity recovery, childhood trauma, postpartum challenges, and relationship pain. Many of my clients come to counseling feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, grief, disconnection, or the emotional aftermath of discovering betrayal in their marriage. Others are carrying shame, broken trust, or the consequences of choices they never imagined they would make. Regardless of where they find themselves in their story, most share a common desire—to heal, grow, and experience healthier relationships with themselves, others, and God.

My counseling approach is warm, relational, and trauma-informed. I help clients explore the wounds, attachment patterns, and protective strategies that may be shaping how they experience themselves, their relationships, and their faith. Much of my work centers around helping women and couples process betrayal trauma, affair recovery, sex addiction, attachment wounds, childhood trauma, postpartum and perinatal challenges, and relationship distress while rebuilding safety, trust, emotional connection, and a stronger sense of self.

As a Christian counselor, I value integrating faith into the counseling process in ways that feel authentic, grounded, and restorative. I deeply respect each client's story and believe healing often happens when people no longer feel they have to hide the painful or complicated parts of their lives.

I earned my Master of Arts in Counseling from Denver Seminary and have practiced as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas since 2013. Over the years, I have pursued extensive trauma-informed training related to betrayal trauma, sex addiction, affair recovery, attachment systems, childhood trauma, and perinatal grief and loss.

Beyond the counseling room, I have been married to my husband, Ryan, since 2006, and together we are raising three daughters. Like many of the clients we serve, our story has included both beautiful seasons and difficult ones marked by grief, loss, trauma, and challenges we never anticipated. While my professional training informs the work I do, some of my deepest compassion comes from personally experiencing how healing can emerge through pain, honest relationships, faith, and support from others. It is this combination of professional expertise and lived experience that fuels my passion for helping women and couples find hope in the midst of their own healing journey.

It is a privilege to walk alongside clients as they move toward deeper healing, healthier relationships, and renewed hope and I look forward to the opportunity of hearing from you!
